Before sportsbooks were computerized, Kenny used the telephone and fax machine to relay odds to sportsbooks. He paid thirty businesses $50 a month to fax him sports articles from their respective cities, in turn giving him the information needed to make the best decisions for his clients. A hard lesson Kenny learned was not to give up his contacts. He made the mistake of telling others about his deal with all the thirty cities, which then made his information lose its initial value, since others now knew how to get the same information.

With the invention of the first computerized betting system, there was no need for Kenny to set the odds in Vegas anymore. He closed up his brick and mortar and started coaching high school baseball until he was called back to Vegas and purchased Las Vegas Sports Consultants.
