The India Meteorological Department has reported the presence of two active weather systems: a deep depression over the Strait of Malacca and a low-pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining regions of south Sri Lanka. According to the IMD, the deep depression is expected to intensify into a cyclonic storm by November 26.
