Hey guys we got a breakdown on some Tuesday night college football action for you when the Buffalo Bulls travel to take on the Ball St Cardinals. Ball St is favored by 6.5 with the total at 58.5.

Buffalo comes into this matchup at 4-7 and have now dropped 3 straight games, including a tough 33-27 overtime loss last week against Northern Illinois. The bulls arent bowl eligible but look to head into the offseason with some positive momentum.  

Most of the bulls success has come on the ground where theyre averaging a hair under 200 rushing yards per game, led by back Dylan McDuffie who had ran the ball for 982 yards with 11 touchdowns on the ground.

Quarterback Kyle Vantrease has completed over 61% of his passes with 8 touchdowns but he's thrown 6 interceptions as well which has been a problem.

As a team theyre scoring 31.6 points per game which is good but they haven't been able to stop opposing teams, mainly opposing teams' run game where theyre allowing 208 yards a game. Thats a lot of yards and it wears down your defense when youre constantly getting pounded on the ground.

Theyre also giving up 225 yards a game through the air and 30.8 points per contest.

Ball St has a lot more to play for in this one. The enter the game at 5-6 and will become bowl eligible if they can get a win against Buffalo but theyve struggled as of late, lowing 2 straight games to Northern Illinois and Central michigan.

Their offense has been pretty balanced, with quarterback Drew Plitt at the helm, whos thrown for over 2000 yards with 16 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions.

Theyre rushing the ball for 143 yards a game and are putting up just under 25 points a game.

And while their offense hasnt been able to score as many points as Buffalo's, their defense hasn't given up as many as Buffalo's defense either. 

Theyre allowing 433 total yards a game with 252 yards coming through the air and 172 yards coming on the ground. As a whole theyre giving up 28.6 points a game which isnt phenomenal but like I said, it is still more effecient than biffalo's defense has been.

Both of these teams have been unimpressive to be quite frank, and theyve both been flat out bad against the spread. Buffalo is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games and Ball St is just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games. Ball St has completely dominated the head to head matchup though winning 10 of their 12 meetings. But this is a big spread and I don't see ball st winning by multiple scores. Theyre just not that solid on either side of the ball so I'm buying the hook and getting this thing up to 7. Buffalo Bulls +7 in the final game of the regular season for these two teams.
