In this ASMR Plumbing video I’m showing how to add chemicals into your heating system via a radiator. In this video, I’m going through the towel rail which is the easiest radiator to add chemicals in because normally the valves are wheelhead and always shut off and you have a vent in a vertical position which is normally half inch size.

You need to start by turning off the radiator valves either side and then open up the vent to make sure that no water comes out. If no more water comes out then you know that the valves are holding and it’s isolated if you get a constant stream of water coming out, then you might have to drain the heating system lower down.

Once the valves are shut and you’re happy that the water is isolated, you’re able to release the bleed pen for pressure and open up the air vent plug . With the vent plug open what I’m showing in this video is using a pump on a hose where you’re able to siphon out the water so you just angle the pipe as far down as you can get it squeeze the pump and that causes the siphon to be able to go into either a bucket or in this case a nearby sink.

Now that you have an amount of water displaced from the radiator you’re able to add the chemicals using a funnel or in my case I like to use stainless steel fittings as I’m able to adapt the shape to either go in vertical or horizontal and it will last a lifetime .

Now your chemical has been added you’re able to reinstate the oven and tighten them down open up both valves overside and top up your heating system accordingly. If you’d like today’s Plumbing video, please give it a like comment down below subscribe if you knew and I’ll see you on the next one.
