The state of Maryland has officially launched online sports betting just in time for Thanksgiving Day. NFL action college football rivalry weekend. Not to mention a slate of NBA games, the 2022 World Cup. And of course, all of the NFL action going on this weekend, including the Ravens and Commanders games.
Now, in-person sports betting began in Maryland almost a year ago, but now there are 10 approved online sportsbooks and 7 of them will go live at 9 a.m. Eastern time on Wednesday, November 23rd.
The seven sportsbooks that should be up and running for Wednesday include Barstool Sportsbook, BET, MGM, Bet Rivers, Caesars, Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel and Pointsbet and each of them are offering their own signup deals that are definitely worth checking out. And there's a lot more to come.
In fact, Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency director John Martin said that the state is ultimately looking to potentially get to 21 mobile apps over the coming year.
