In today’s video I’m looking at the 15 expansions created by Stonemaier Games and picking a favorite for 10 different categories. I’ll also discuss some general topics regarding expansions, including who they’re for, how reviewers perceive them, sequels vs expansion, and box fit. Here are my selections:

• New play method: Viticulture World (Viticulture)
• More stuff: Plans & Ploys (Tapestry); runner up is Moor Visitors (Viticulture)
• Increased player count: Secrets & Soirees (Between Two Castles)
• New stuff: Tuscany Essential (Viticulture); runner up is Arts & Architecture (Tapestry)
• Increased depth/complexity: Capitals (Between Two Cities); runner up is Oceania (Wingspan)
• Campaign: The Rise of Fenris (Scythe)
• Asymmetry: Invaders from Afar (Scythe); runner up is Pie in the Sky (My Little Scythe)
• New location: European Expansion (Wingspan)
• Fixing a problem: Ignorance Is Bliss (Euphoria)
• Easiest to teach: Visit from the Rhine Valley (Viticulture)
