Bots. Collusion. Cheating. Glitches.

With GGpoker and ACR having major scandals in the last 2 weeks, Its all anyone has been talking about in the online poker streets lately.

Heres what you need to know.

First, last week just before the new year it came to light that GGpoker had a superuser on their platform. A superuser is just a term used for someone in online poker who can see all the hole cards, in other words someone who is cheating. We wont get into the specific details, but This superuser who went by the screen name “MoneyTaker69” and won over $60,000 on the site at rates that are statistical anomalies.

This all came to light in a 2+2 forum post, GG later issued a statement saying theyve banned the user and collected $29,000 from the account which will be dispersed to the other users who were affected. They also noted that the user was able to exploit the platform thru a thumbs up/ thumbs down reaction system that glitched to somehow show the user the flop and turn early.

Lets keep in mind, this is GGpoker. The official partner for the largest and most respected poker series in the world, the WSOP.

Next up is the much more sketchy and much less reputable poker platform ACR.

Jan 3rd another 2+2 forum post was put up by user TylerRM which shows evidence of a bot farm that has taken in $3.7m just in 2023. Many more details are in the post and i suggest you head over there to read it for yourself.

ACR’s response? They throw Ebony Kenney and Chris MoneyMaker on a zoom and they proceed to welcome people to attempt to bot on ACR. If anyone can do it theyll give you $100k and a job on their team.

This is the same thing that happened back in may of 2023 when there was another alleged cheating scandal on ACR. CEO Phil Nagy offered a $100k reward for proof, months went by, and ppl didnt care anymore. Its just dust in the wind.

Nothing changed at all. You know why? ACR is a money printing machine with no one overseeing what they do. It crashes constantly, and always seems to be in the news with some variation of cheating, bots, or glitches and each time ACR offers a $100k bounty as their PR statement. Time passes and the cycle continues.

There is no real KYC on ACR which is why its so easy for ppl to just make a bot, use it, and if it fails or gets caught they can make another ACR account in 5 minutes under another alias.

All that and we havent even talked about the collusion and botting that goes on in the private club apps, but thats a discussion for another day.

These poker platforms rake in hundreds of millions of dollars off its player base every year. They must be held accountable for providing a safe and secure space for its players, otherwise why are any of us paying rake to begin with?
