We took a ’95 Dodge Ram and turned it into something completely new, a diesel-electric hybrid pickup designed for real-world performance and efficiency. With a 2.8L Cummins generator, dual electric drive axles, and a 60 kWh battery built right into the frame rails, this prototype shows what Canadian engineering can do.
Tested at McMaster University’s Automotive Science Lab, this truck has been pushed on the dyno through city, hill, and trailer simulations, proving hybrid tech can thrive in heavy-duty applications.
