The State Election Commission has taken a step forward for the local body elections stalled on the issue of Corona Outbreak and OBC Reservation. These elections will be held without OBC reservation only. The reservation lottery will be conducted on May 31 for 14 municipalities of the state including BMC. The election of these metropolitan municipalities is called the semi-final of the assembly elections. Especially in the BMC, there is a possibility of a tough fight between the ruling Shiv Sena and the BJP.
