Whether you think it's for better or for worse, it's impossible to deny that MMORPGs as a whole have changed over the years. Modern MMO design is a far cry from the classics like Vanilla WoW, and despite multiple contemporary attempts to bring back this kind of design it never really seems to stick - but why is this?
