Tips Fraud of ₹2.25 Crore | How Trading Tips are Shorterning the Trader's Life in Stock Market?

Using tips in the Stock Market seems to be a much easier option for beginner traders as compared to them getting into learning the skills of analyzing the market. A new trader or someone who has lost money from trading, gets into the habit of buying subscriptions to a Premium channel where tips are shared without any licensing by SEBI.

Two such instances have been caught by SEBI where in one case an educational institute named NIFM was found to be sharing tips back in 2012 to 2014. Their case was solved recently and they were asked to pay around INR 25 Lakhs that they received by selling tips without taking any license from the regulator.

Similarly, another youngster from Mumbai was selling tips on his Premium Whatsapp group and had made around INR 2 Crore in the last 4- 5 years.

One of his subscribers filed a complaint first with the local police station and then with SEBI that she had incurred a loss due to this Stock Market Tips channel. Regulator took the complaint seriously and found that a young boy who was currently studying, had made a huge amount by telling people that he was SEBI registered, which he was not.
