Indians, Insider Trading Aur America:
Ek taraf Indians US aur UK mai itna naam kamaa rahe hain. Rishi Sunak ko hi dekhlo, PM baane jaa rahe hain Angrezon. Lekin Stock Market mein kuch ulta hi chal raha hai.
US Stock Market's SEBI that is SEC, Securities and Exchange Commission, has filed insider trading charges against several Indian-Americans in connection with two separate schemes leading to over 54 Cr in profits.
SEC alleged that Amit Bhardwaj, the former chief information security officer (CISO) of Lumentum Holdings, along with 4 other Indian American friends, traded ahead of acquisition announcement. These 5 Indian Americans together made 42 Cr.
While in the case investment banker Brijesh Goel and his friend, also a foreign exchange trader Akshay Niranjan, were caught in 12 cr insider trading case from 2017.
In India, such insider trading cases are punishable to penalty: not be less than ten lakh rupees but may extend to twenty-five crore rupees or three times the amount of profits made, whichever is higher & or 10 years of jail time.
But these poor American Indians will be subjected to prison time that can be upto 20 years along with a fine that could be reach upto 40 crores.
