On today's Make it Make Cents we're talking about trading, how it works and the benefits so you can make informed investment decisions.

Active trading allows you to lock in profit, when stock prices are high, and avoid losing money when the market drops. Specifically, day trading allows you to buy and sell stocks within– you guessed it! – a day, whereas swing trading gives you the flexibility to trade within the course of a year.

This means you may hold onto certain stocks for months at a time, waiting for the right time to sell.
