PS5 Message:
When Xbox announced its intention to purchase Activision Blizzard earlier this month, it led to a lot of speculation what it could mean for PlayStation 5 owners. While Xbox boss Phil Spencer has already confirmed the company's intention to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation, there are still lingering questions about what form that will take. French retail chain Cora is well aware that future Call of Duty games might become exclusive to Xbox, and has apparently posted a warning to potential PS5 buyers in its stores. An image of the warning was shared and translated on Twitter by user @HazzadorGamin.

Monster Hunter:
icrosoft is working on a veritable mountain of content, with both internal and external partners. Microsoft acquired ZeniMax, and is attempting to acquire Activision Blizzard, and its growing list of upcoming Xbox games is a big driving force for its subscription service, Xbox Game Pass.
In addition to internal games, Microsoft is working on a range of third-parties on titles like Project Dragon, from IO Interactive, As Dusk Falls from Interior Night, and Contraband, from Avalanche. Thanks to the latest episode of Jeff Grubb's GrubbSnax show, we now have unearthed yet another game.
I can confirm via our own separate sources that this game is indeed real, and is currently codenamed Project Suerte. Suerte is reportedly a "Monster Hunter" inspired game, implying big monster battles with multiplayer gameplay. The game is in development by Certain Affinity, which is known primarily as a support studio on titles like Halo and Call of Duty.
According to the information I've received over the last few months, Project Suerte has been in development since the summer of 2020, and is likely slated for a 2023 reveal and 2024 release, although it may come a bit sooner or later depending on the dynamism and variables that often come with game development.
Game pass Hack:
UPDATE 28/1/21: Microsoft has now said that the changes to Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass agreed with the UK's Competition and Markets Authority will be rolled out worldwide. "Changes to inactive subscriptions will initially roll out in the UK and will be available globally soon," a Microsoft spokesperson told The Verge.
Details of all the changes are listed below in our original report.
ORIGINAL STORY 27/1/21: Microsoft will make changes to how it handles auto-renewal for subscriptions to Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass after agreeing to a set of commitments with the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
The regulator is currently investigating auto-renewal practices from the big three platform holders: Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft.
Bungie:
Microsoft has Minecraft, Epic Games has Fortnite, and Sony now has Destiny. In a $3.6 billion deal, Sony is acquiring Bungie, the game studio famous for creating the Halo and Destiny universes. It’s a big deal, in a month already full of massive deals. It’s also backed by some equally big promises from Bungie about its independence, the future of Destiny, and commitments to multiplatform games.
Beyond Destiny, this deal reveals Sony’s ambition to compete with games like Fortnite alongside the steps it has been taking to bring the PlayStation brand to multiple platforms.
The deal itself is unusual. Bungie will maintain creative independence inside Sony, self-publishing its future games despite being owned 100 percent by Sony. Destiny 2 will remain multiplatform, so it’s not going to disappear from the Xbox and turn into a PlayStation exclusive. Bungie has even committed to keeping the game the same “no matter where you choose to play.” That likely means we won’t see exclusive Destiny strikes or weapons on PlayStation like we saw in the past, thanks to an Activision and Sony deal.
Bungie’s future games won’t be PlayStation exclusive, either. “We want the worlds we are creating to extend to anywhere people play games,” reads a vision blog post from Bungie’s Joe Blackburn and Justin Truman. So what is Sony paying $3.6 billion for, exactly?
