During the Weekly Watchlist we review the best stocks for options trading. We go over key levels of support and resistance and create an actionable game plan for the week of July 25th 2022.
Last week in the S&P500, we had a number of bullish indications after the breakout of the bullish range. The sectors are also supporting more of a risk on look now. Was Friday an aggressive move from the sellers or just a little bit of healthy profit taking, and de-risking, for the weekend headlines? Internals would certainly support the idea that it was just profit taking, not new money sellers coming into the market.
In the QQQ and Nasdaq we see a similar picture with the relative strength and breakout of range, however this one is already in the over head supply which means we could see higher odds of consolidation before continuing to the upside.
IWM and the small caps are cautiously bullish and signaling more of a risk on / risk neutral look currently. There is no glaring indication that there will be a huge breakout from the small caps, but the bear engulfer, should make you mindful of pullbacks at minimum.
